Scott Whitmore
Graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy.
Received his Diploma of Manipulative physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Orthopaedic Division in 1999.
Active Instructor and Chief Examiner for the Orthopaedic Division curriculum since 1999.
Involved in mentoring physiotherapists through the Diploma of Manual and Manipulative examinations, and the Clinical Masters of Manipulative Therapy program at Western University.
Co-owner of Manual Concepts Physiotherapy in Guelph, ON.
Lenerdene Levesque
Graduated from Queen’s University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and completed a Masters of Clinical Science in Manipulation (MCLSc) from Western University in 2008.
She has an Advanced Diploma in Manual/Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT) and has taught, mentored, and examined students in the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) Manual therapy courses for the last 22 years.
- Has been an examiner for the National Orthopaedic Division since 2004 and appointed Chief Examiner in 2011

Lorrie Maffey
Current qualifications (BMRPT, MPhty, FCAMPT, Certificates in Medical Acupuncture/UBC GunnIMS/Sport Physiotherapy, Clinical Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy).
I thrive on the challenge of working with competitive athletes, and flourish at treating clients who have become injured in their daily life who are striving to gain their physical mobility back.
I thoroughly enjoy working as a team on the IFOMPT Standard Committee as well as educating and being a mentor to post and graduate physiotherapists in my role as an Orthopaedic Division Mentor/Instructor/Chief Examiner and a UBC GunnIMS Instructor/ Examiner.
Jill Robertson
Graduated from Dalhousie University in 1987 with a BScPT and in 2001 with an MScPT (thesis on manual therapy techniques for hip extension).
Received her Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy in 1996.
Works at Jill Robertson Physiotherapy and Consulting and teaches at Dalhousie University.
Chief Examiner and Instructor for the Orthopaedic Division of CPA.
Received the CPA Mentorship Award in 2009 and the NS Physio of the Year in 2012.
She is designated a Clinical Specialist in MSK by CPA. She has been the Chair of the NS Ortho Section, the National Orthopaedic Division and the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapy.
Roland Lavalée
BMRPT 1983 – University of Manitoba.
In 1989 he earned his FCAMPT through the National Orthopaedic Division’s (NOD) community system.
Examiner since 2005 and in the summer of 2017 was appointed as a Chief Examiner.
Faculty appointment with the University of Manitoba’s College of Rehabilitation Sciences.
Has been teaching post-graduate NOD physiotherapy courses in Manitoba and parts of Canada since the late 1980’s.
He earned a Clinical Masters in Physical Therapy – Manipulative Physiotherapy Western University in 2010.
His 5-year tenure as Chair of the National Education Committee – ends in October of 2017.
Paolo Sanzo
Paolo Sanzo is an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology and at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine at Lakehead University and the Director and Physiotherapist at Active Potential Rehabilitation Services. He is also an instructor and chief examiner for the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He was the elected past Member Organization Delegate for Canada and was appointed to the executive committee of the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists in October 2017. His research interests are in the area of rehabilitation and sports medicine. More specifically, his research integrates the clinical, biomechanical, and physiological aspects of human movement and gait analysis. It also includes the exploration of the medical and clinical uses and effects of extracorporeal shockwave therapy as it applies to failed tendon and bone healing responses, the clinical application and rationale for the use of therapeutic taping and bracing as an adjunct to rehabilitation and sport performance measures, the biomechanical analysis of concussion, manual therapy and length-tension testing and the relationships between muscle and myofascial tissues in various musculoskeletal disorders, and the integration of medical technologies for both assessment and treatment purposes. He has published articles in several peer-reviewed journals, authored four books on length-tension testing techniques in the upper and lower quadrants, and serves as a reviewer for several journal titles. He also continues to treat patients with complex sports-related and musculoskeletal injuries.
