Pivot is hiring – Full time Ortho/Pelvic Physio in busy Bloor West Village clinic

I’m Dinah Hampson and the founder of Pivot Sport Medicine Physiotherapy Orthopaedics. I am looking for a physiotherapist to join our team at Pivot. I don’t often post positions and I am happy to wait for the right person to fill the spot. Pivot has been in business for 20 years and is continuing to be a strong leader in the Canadian physiotherapy landscape and more recently internationally.

Pivot is a multidisciplinary clinic and has always held a full compliment of clinicians under its roof where we work together, rather than beside each other. We have a built-in referral and resource network as well as 20 year roots in the surrounding community. Our patient retention rate is over 90% and our practitioners rarely leave, unless they move away or desire a different working environment.

Pivot is a place where people come first. Patients have a say in their clinical journey and clinicians are autonomous in their clinical practice decisions. At the same time, clinicians are supported by the depth of experience held by Pivot staff and the returning clientele.

Pivot runs a very full schedule. You will be as busy as you want to be and you will be remunerated accordingly. Our starting physiotherapists are earning 85-100K/year and enjoy regular in house perks of staff discounts on our team lululemon, course offerings, mentoring for sport and ortho exams, pizza parties and the such. We have cloud based EMR, an in-house ultrasound and shockwave, plus all the usual modalities. If it sounds magical, that’s because it is.

The position truly is a blend of ortho and pelvic. It is not gender specific. We treat patients of all ages. We have a high proportion of youth and high performance active people who trust Pivot to not only manage their injuries but to also give them strategies to excel in their activities. We are a UofT teaching site, involved in clinical research and regularly host learners from the faculty of Medicine.

A successful clinician at Pivot is someone who strives for excellence, enjoys being a part of a team environment, is available to offer services at variable hours of the day. We are open 6 days a week for clinical sessions and for classes on the seventh. We rent space at a local boutique gym so that we can also offer high performance one-on-one and group appointments. We run a virtual schedule of appointments and classes to meet the needs of people geographically not close-by. We offer in home treatment for our patients who can not make it into the clinic but are within travel for our independent contractors. These avenues are all available to clinicians at Pivot wishing to pursue them.
