Part-Time Physiotherapist, Busy Orthopaedic Clinic

The Dovigi Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Clinic at Mount Sinai Hospital is looking for a part-time physiotherapist (Independent Contractor) to join our clinic. Our multidisciplinary team consists of allied health, sports medicine physicians and surgeons who have treated professional athletes, amateur athletes, weekend warriors, and a range of musculoskeletal disorders. Our collective experience spans decades of clinical practice, education and research. Clinical mentorship and collaboration through Grand Rounds is available.

The successful physiotherapist will work alongside our current therapy staff consisting of athletic therapist, chiropractors, massage therapists, fellow physiotherapists, surgeons and sports medicine physicians to deliver patient-focused care. The caseload consists of working with musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, especially as they relate to active individuals pursuing a healthy lifestyle.

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Minimum of two years work experience in a musculoskeletal clinical setting
• Medical Acupuncture certification (or in pursuit) preferred
• Completion of the Level II Manual Therapy (AIM) courses (or in pursuit) preferred
• Completion of post-graduate courses including concussion certifications and vestibular rehabilitation an asset
• Experience in working with pre and post surgical patient population
• Competency electronic medical health record documentation and scheduling

Additional Qualifications:
• Excellent physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills with a broad variety of experience working with musculoskeletal conditions and sports related injuries
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic
• Demonstrates sound clinical reasoning skills
• Demonstrates the ability to collaborate and communicate with the multi-disciplinary team
• Participates in regular continuing education
• Determined to build a successful practice where patients come first

All contractors will follow safe work practices and comply with the roles and responsibilities that are outlined with respect to health and safety policies, procedures and training at Mount Sinai Hospital.
