AIM Level 1
Level 1 is the entry point to the Orthopaedic Division’s AIM Physiotherapy Program and must be completed before registering for a Level 2 Course.
There are three options for completing AIM Level 1:
- Self-Guided Modules
There are 7 modules which consist of a 20-30-minute video or audio powerpoint presentation. At the end of each module, there will be 5 Formative Multiple Choice Questions which must be completed to automatically trigger the next module. The modules must be completed in order but they do not need to be completed all in one sitting.
Modules cover topics such as the Upper and Lower Quadrant scan exams, Recognizing Serious Spinal Pathology, Establishing a Therapeutic Alliance, Clinical Reasoning Frameworks, and others.
The modules must be completed within 3 months of registering (or a $25.00 fee applies to renew access). - Online Multiple Choice (MCQ) Challenge Exam (Invigilated over Zoom)

To register for a Level 2 course, please be prepared to submit the Certificate of Completion you will receive after completing Level 1, regardless of which option above you choose.
The next Level 1 MCQ Exam session is scheduled for December 14, 2024. Registration closes November 8 for the MCQ option.
Registration for the Modules option is always open.
Fees for Modules & MCQ Exam
CPA Members – $150.00 + provincial tax
Non-Members – $250.00 + provincial tax
