Advanced Practical Examination (APE) 2020

Applications for the 2020 Advanced Examination will be accepted from May 15th until June 30, 2020. You will also need to upload a copy of your Level 5 certificate at the time of application. Go to the application page.

Deadline for mentorship hours and Mentor/Mentee Form of an Actual Patient is July 31, 2020. If the candidate does not submit hours by the deadline, they will be placed on the waiting list.

All candidates applying for the APE that completed their Level 1 examination after January 1, 2014, and do not have a post-graduate University degree (i.e. MClSc, MSc, or PhD) must have completed the online research course thru either the University of Western or Université Laval. If you completed your Level 1 examination prior to January 1, 2014, you are exempt from this requirement. However you will need to include the following with your application: proof of either your Level 1 exam completion before January 1, 2014 OR a certificate of completion of the online research course (the University of Toronto or Université Laval) OR proof of a post-graduate diploma (MClSc or MSc or PhD).
The course is called “Introduction to Clinical Research to Support Evidence-Based Practice in Manual Therapy” and must be completed BEFORE registering to the 2020 Advanced Exam. This course is now an entire part of our course curriculum.

The Multiple Choice and Case History Exam will be on September 19th, 2020. All efforts are made to find a testing site close to each applicant.

Practical Exam will be held in two sites, one in the east and one in the west:

  • East – November 7-8, 2020
(A second East date will be added November 21-22, 2020 if needed. Please keep both dates available)
  • West – November 14-15, 2020
