Course description

This 2-day course is an evidence informed course that is designed to provide participants with the tools to assess and treat the myofascial system of the upper quadrant. The techniques demonstrated are derived from manual therapy and this approach has been shown to be useful in patients with musculo-skeletal conditions, especially “hard to treat” cases. This approach will also allow participants to appreciate the implications that myofascial system dysfunctions can have on joint amplitude, motor control, neurophysiology and function.
Objectives:
• Understand the anatomy, physiology and neurology of the myofascial system (includes fascial lines).
• Identify the characteristics of myofascial pain and how it presents in your patients.
• Use the appropriate tests and treatment techniques that are specific to the myofascial system .
• Learn the indications and concepts for treatment using MMS.
