Course description
Clinical Practice Skills for Inflammatory Arthritis (CPSIA) is a professional development program that has evolved with the evidence and the learning needs of today’s interprofessional team. The program progressively develops the participants’ clinical practice skills over a 5-day period through a blend of online, didactic, interactive and experiential learning on the most prevalent arthritis conditions.
Our rehab focused in-person program concentrates on applying assessment and treatment skills that build upon knowledge gained in the virtual program. There will be extensive opportunities to practice these skills with each other and with volunteer patients living with inflammatory arthritis.
CPSIA will support the learning of those who provide client-centred healthcare to people with arthritis across a continuum of settings and stages of disease. (The program does not address childhood arthritis).
Many of the program’s graduates go on to successfully complete the Advanced Clinician Practitioner in Arthritis Care (ACPAC) program.
