SMART PT is offering an upcoming spinal manual therapy series on February 10-11 and 23-24, 2024. These courses can be fully completed over 2 weekends or divided into 1 part at a time. The first weekend will cover cervical, thoracic and Rib 1-10 techniques. The second weekend will cover lumbar, sacroiliac and rib 11-12 techniques. The learner can tailor their experience to complete either one or both courses at a time. This allows flexibility regarding you time, finances and personal learning objectives. The course will include a required online learning component and theory testing prior to the in person weekend sessions. Successful completion of this course allows the participant to apply for authorization to perform spinal manipulation in Alberta for the specific techniques learned and tested.
The instructors are both FCAMPT therapists, each with greater than 25 years of clinical experience.
Participants are provided with a comprehensive manual with all relevant theory and techniques as well as a thumb drive with videos reviewing all techniques taught in the class. Graduates are invited to future practice sessions to continue to develop skills and collaborate with other manual physiotherapists.
